What is idea behind women “Leaning in”?

“Leaning in” has come to mean women are doing what’s necessary, becoming more courageous, confident and successful doing what they perhaps don’t even want to do. Perhaps we can ease out of the idea of leaning in, out or back, and move toward the idea of authentic life choice.

What is the concept of pulling up the ladder?

This concept is that women who succeed, (particularly in male dominated workplaces) and have ‘climbed the ladder’ of success then tend to not support other women for fear of losing their dominance. 

Also called the “Queen Bee” mentality.
